Gabriela Trinidad Pérez is a rising Junior at University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras. She is a Sociology student with emphasis on Culture and Gender. She’s also part of her university’s Honors Program, where she’s currently working on an undergraduate thesis on Sociology and Popular Culture. During the Summer, with the LAMI Program, she’ll be researching the representation of Latino Women in US Popular Culture, and the backlash that arises with this subject.
